Line6 POD X3 PRO. Recorded USB into laptop during deployment to Iraq. RG2EX1 with D-Activators, locking hardware, custom pickguard. I can provide the patches if anyone is interested.
Just a recording test using my new Pod X3 Pro. Noise Gate - Screamer (TS9) - Deity's Son (Diezel Herbert) - 4x12 V30's. Left side is a 57 on-axis, right is off-axis. Guitar is a hardtail RG2EX1 with locking Gotoh hardware, graphite nut, and Dimarzio D-Activators. Tuned to Drop C.
Same idea as the first clip. Different riff, a bit faster. I bumped up the mids a notch to see what happened. I kind of like the first clip a bit better.
Posted by guitarkirkster on 2008-11-22 the extra mids gives it a much fuller sound. nice tones both times.Posted by tomcruisesego on 2008-11-22 any chance of recording it with a real cab and mic?Posted by shanejohnson2002 on 2008-11-23 No, all I have is the palmer. I think the sound is better than a mic anyway.Posted by bridrive55 on 2008-11-23 Great clip, but I agree that you should use a cab and mic. You simply lose all the dynamics using a Palmer.Posted by shanejohnson2002 on 2008-11-30 "should" is a relative word ;). I actually like the dryness of the Palmer. To each his own I guess.
Posted by guitarkirkster on 2008-10-10 oh so sweet. thats what it needed.Posted by djabthrash on 2008-10-16 Great stuff. With better drums (easy to achieve with EZdrummer for instance IMO) it would SLAY.
